Seasonal Hiring May Boost Employment Outlook for Many

While recent reports are showing a slow growth in the job market, many workers will soon be relying on job opportunities that arise from the upcoming holiday season. These jobs are typically in the retail sector, as stores gear up for increased holiday spending and sudden rushes from holiday sales.
While some believe the seasonal hiring will only provide temporary relief for those currently out of work, many remain optimistic that such positions will allow some to go from temporary
employment to permanent. Such hiring has not been common the past few years, as seasonal sales have not been as strong as expected.
This holiday season is expected to be one of the most important for retailers in recent years, as they try to target consumers who are willing to spend. The past few years have been difficult for retailers, as consumers have not had confidence in the economy and therefore have been unwilling to spend.
